art and stories of transformation

My art captures pivotal moments of the hero’s journey – the universal story of leaving for an adventure, overcoming challenges, and returning home transformed. This journey is a commitment to pursue the unknown. As an artist, it is the path I am destined to follow.

Working intuitively, my experiences as a mystic and seeker emerge in my art. I incorporate personal symbolism – thistle thriving in harsh conditions, gemstones formed by time and pressure - and set scenes using memories of place - jagged peaks of the Rocky Mountains, vast waters of the Great Lakes.
I rely on this fusion of the material and immaterial worlds to capture the otherworldliness of key moments of the hero’s journey.

I hope that those who experience my art will find inspiration and solace during their own journeys of transformation.
