Air bubbles in water have more potential energy farther from the surface. As they rise to the surface, the potential energy dissipates.
I am deeply moved by the majestic Lake Erie, and the horizon line of the lake regularly appears in my paintings. Many mysterious, big ideas are below the surface of the water. I invite complexity to emerge in the portion of these paintings below the horizon line.
