About the work
An immersive media installation that considers the complicated relationship humans have with their inner and outer worlds.
Sound and moving image narratives carry the viewer on inward-to-outward journeys and explore connection of a body with the natural environment.
Some of my artistic influences in this piece are the soundscapes of Janet Cardiff, Autotheory (Lauren Fournier) where artists use personal narrative as a way to engage with theory and bigger concepts, and TJ Cuthand’s video work, such as “Reclamation”, a post-apocalypse documentary style video, and “Blind”, personal narration with image montage about mental health.
